The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is used to send input signals to the ECU to indicate the current angle of the throttle blade. Symptoms of a failing TPS sensor include: Erratic idle and improper throttle response. DON'T BE FOOLED your original TPS can be simply removed by notching the headless screws holding your old TPS on and unscrewing them with a flat head screw driver. Do not make the mistake of thinking your TPS is riveted to the throttle body they are just headless screws THAT CAN BE REMOVED.
